Here we go!

Hi! Let me introduce myself. I was born in Shanghai, China and at age 6, moved to the US. My parents and I lived in Massachusetts for many years before I moved to North Carolina for college. I worked in Boston before starting a new life in Los Angeles.

I believe in the process of cooking at home. I used to spend weekends planning and trying new recipes but since I had my daughter last year, I have learned to streamline everything without sacrificing taste. 

My husband, Michael, tells me that I'm very picky. My mom and grandmother were both great cooks. Combine that with years of eating out, I have a certain standard of quality that I've tried to uphold. 

This blog is to help everyone cook more while making it as painless as possible.
